The aortic valve insufficency is the most common cardiac valve pathology. It concerns 2 to 3% of the French population older than 65 years and requires the implantation of a biological valve to avoid progression to heart failure.
An average of 12,000 replacements are made each year in France. Unfortunately, all bio-prosthetics are subject to a risk of structural valve deterioration (SVD).
The objective is to improve the management of future patients by selecting more reliable biological prostheses and to better understand the determinants of their evolution.
